LiveKit ("LiveKit," "we," "our," and/or "us") values the privacy of individuals who use our websites, livekit.com and cloud.livekit.io, including all subdomains (collectively, the "Website"), and our Services. This cookie policy ("Cookie Policy") explains how we use cookies and similar technologies, what types of cookies we use, and how you can block or manage cookies. This Cookie Policy forms part of our Privacy Policy. Any capitalized term used and not otherwise defined below has the meaning assigned to it in the Privacy Policy.
About CookiesLink to this section
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies allow website operators to recognize your device as you navigate through a website. By using cookies, a website can do things like remember a user's login details and store user preferences.
By themselves, cookies do not identify you specifically. Rather, they recognize your web browser. So, unless you identify yourself specifically to LiveKit, for instance by signing into your account, we don't know who you are just because you visited our website.
We use both persistent cookies and session cookies. Persistent cookies stay on your device for a set period of time or until you delete them, while session cookies are deleted once you close your web browser.
We and our third-party partners may also use pixel tags and web beacons on our Website. These are tiny graphic images placed on web pages or in our emails that allow us to determine whether you have performed a specific action. In this Cookie Policy, we refer to cookies, pixel tags, web beacons, and similar technologies collectively as "Cookies."

Marketing CookiesLink to this section
HubSpot is used for both Analytics and Marketing. Its marketing code loads only when you accept both categories in Cookie Preferences.
We may also use Cookies for advertising purposes, including to show you customized advertisements based on pages you previously visited and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. This may include tracking pixels or tags provided by advertising platforms (for example, Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta, Reddit, TikTok, or X). These technologies load only if you accept Marketing cookies in Cookie Preferences.
Third-Party CookiesLink to this section
We may engage third-party companies on our Website, for example analytics providers and content partners, and grant them access to selected information to perform specific tasks on our behalf. These third parties may set their own Cookies in order to deliver their services, and third-party Cookies can be used to track you on other websites that use the same third-party service. For example, some pages include videos hosted by third parties such as YouTube. These providers may set their own cookies, governed by their privacy policies.
Pixel TagsLink to this section
We use pixel tags (also known as web beacons) to, among other things, track the actions of email recipients, to measure the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns, and track response rates.
Opting Out of CookiesLink to this section
You can opt out of cookies at any time, with the exception of the Necessary Cookies which are required for our Services to properly function. Where Cookies are not strictly necessary for our Website to function, we will ask you to consent to our use of Cookies when you first visit our Website, and you can choose which categories of Cookies you consent to. Consent can be provided or revoked at any time through the cookie banner or the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of livekit.com. If you have a LiveKit Cloud account, manage cookies in your User Settings. We also treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal sent by your browser as a request to opt out of Marketing cookies for that browser.
Your web browser may also provide cookie configuration options, including to delete and disable LiveKit cookies. If you choose to disable cookies, our Services may not operate as intended.
Most browsers are configured to accept Cookies by default, but you can update these settings to refuse Cookies altogether or to notify you when a website is trying to set or update a Cookie. Most browsers allow you to control your Cookie settings so that you can:
